Lan was just going to continue getting dressed ignoring him. It hurt her a little to know that he had no plans on marrying her, to make it official. But didn't say a thing.

And that's where Ed went. He had a horde of books on the desk, and had just began reading one of them.

There were books in almost every language back there, so there was undoubtably Chinese.
